The challenge
M&S Bank wanted to capitalise on the interest around holidays and travel in early summer to encourage people to consider using its travel money service.
The solution
I worked with them to create a series of high quality, really useful travel features for a new travel section of the M&S Bank website.
The creative
There’s no shortage of travel content online these days. The challenge is finding content that’s credible and correct.
I suggested asking travel writers to recommend places they’d actually stay and dine at themselves and creating a ‘travel writers’ little black book. The client really loved this ‘Insiders’ Guide to Europe’ idea. It features 14 really special hotels and restaurants where travel writers who write for The Telegraph, Sunday Times, and The Daily Mail actually pay to stay.
I created the format, commissioned all the words and images from some of the UK’s top travel writers, edited the copy and worked with in-house designers at iCrossing on the design.
